With summer approaching, a host of great Mercer County Farmers Markets are readying to open and offer up everything a healthy family needs – including a great day out.
Amazingly, farmers markets come CDC (Centers for Disease Control) approved:
- CDC Guidelines state that a farmers’ market is a lower-risk shopping option compared to stores and malls.
- Plus, healthy food and exercise are vital for physical and mental well-being.

West Windsor Community Farmers Market
Location: Vaughn Drive Lot, Princeton Junction Train Station.
Opening Times: Every Saturday, 9 am – 1 pm, starting May.
Ends: The West Windsor Community Farmers Market runs from May through to the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

- Masks are mandatory for all.

- The farmers market is partnered with the Garden State Good Food Network. For each $1 SNAP market token purchased, the farmers market matches with another $1 token towards the purchase of more fruit and vegetables, up to the value of $20 on a single market day.

Pennsylvania Dutch Farmers Market
Location: 4437 Route 27 Princeton, between Promenade Blvd. and Raymond Rd (Kingston Mall Shopping Center).
Opening Times: Thursday 9:30 am to 6 pm, Friday 9 am to 6 pm, and Saturday 9 am to 4 pm.
Ends: Open now and throughout 2021.

- This is an indoor farmers’ market.

Great Meadow Farm & Market
Great Meadow Farm & Market isn’t a traditional farmers market, instead, you buy shares in the produce grown locally and pick it up weekly. The produce you get will be high quality and curated by some of New Jersey’s top chefs.
What you need to know:
- You pay up front for 20 weeks of weekly curated produce.
- Produce can be picked up from the farm shop on a Saturday or Sunday, between 9 am – 2 pm.
- Masks and social distancing will be in place, as per rules.
- Produce can be picked up from May, and ends mid-November.
- You get different produce each week.

Princeton Farmers Market
Location: 46-80 Franklin Avenue Parking Lot, Princeton, NJ 08542
Opening Times: Thursday 10 am to 2 pm. The next market is April 29.

Location: 960 Spruce Street, Lawrence Township, NJ 08648
Opening Times: Thursday to Saturday, from 9 am to 6 pm. However, hours are planned to change at the end of April 2021.
