Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Stir in the garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the broccoli and water to the skillet. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and stir everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the beef is heated through and the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Serve the beef and broccoli over cooked rice, and enjoy your delicious stir-fry!
