We’re at a point in time where Americans are moving around quite often to try and find the best place to settle down. They want to find the best possible area to live in for the remainder of their lives, but where is that best place? Everybody is going to choose their places, though some states have outstanding loyalty from their residents. Here we are going to be talking about the top states that Americans want to live the rest of their entire lives.
Texas
Texas is one of the states where Americans live their entire lives. The state offers a wonderfully low cost of living with excellent weather and a usually strong economy overall. It’s the main reason why so many people continue to flock to the state, with over 15,000 residents coming back in the year 2021. Plus, Texas is one of the largest states that the United States has to offer, with a significant amount of people occupying that land and remaining there for as long as they possibly can.
Florida
Usually, Florida is considered the place where people move, which makes you think that many Americans don’t live their entire lives here. However, that thought would be incorrect. Lately, the state of Florida has been booming with new residents, and many of those residents who were born here don’t prefer to move anywhere else. They still maintain affordable housing and a solid economy, and their recent success at attracting a younger crowd is making the state even more successful. Combining this with retirees flocking to the Sunshine State and Florida is without a doubt deserving of being on this list.

North Carolina has had a large inflow of residents in recent years, and they continue to hold them. They saw a large 9,000 increase in residents back in 2021, but their overall population has risen in each of the last four years. Many families who live there make sure to mention how wonderful the state is for those who love the outdoors, similar to Georgia. Another thing that repeatedly gets mentioned is that it’s a state that is mostly focused on being work and family-oriented. People continue to stay in North Carolina, and many more have come into the state as opposed to leaving it.
Utah
Utah has sometimes found itself with a bad reputation, and it’s unfortunate because the state has been incredibly successful lately. On top of that, Utah has been listed as one of the best states in the country on a few separate lists, so the popularity is certainly still there. Over the last four years, dating back to 2020, the population in Utah has gone up by a substantial amount. Not only are people staying, but so many more are coming. Utah prides itself on its “vibrant” economy and its “natural beauty” while also mentioning how great the residents are to one another. Despite there being a few outliers regarding a poor reputation, the state of Utah has been very successful, and the residents are extremely loyal.

South Carolina offers a large amount of land, or “green space”, which has sent a lot of people to live there in recent years. In 2021, the state boomed and gained over 10,000 residents, in the next three years afterward, the population rose dramatically and is still rising today. Idaho
Idaho has a great location in the United States because it’s very close to the water and along the doorstep of other expensive West Coast states. Idaho is the go-to place for those who want to enjoy the water and the excitement in the surrounding states without having the funds necessary to live there.
